DO SOMETHING!!!

Do Something!!!
In life, everyone has somewhere to go at every point in time.

We all have something specific to accomplish within a specific time limit.

But the question remains; "What impact are we making in our immediate environment?"

"Are we living as the 'salt' and 'light' which we are to this world? Or have we lost our savor?"

As Christians, we've been given a mandate to dominate the earth. We need to bring God's kingdom here on earth. His kingdom will not come if we remain inactive about our faith.

We can't get that fellow over to the fold of Christ if we don't tell him/her anything about Jesus.
It would be more difficult if our lifestyles do not show forth Jesus!
We could spend time discussing about our interests and careers, but let us also round it up with the fact that Jesus Saves! and is coming soon to take us home!

All we are, and all we would be, we owe to the one who saved us from sin with his own blood shed on the cross.
The earlier we grasp the true value and essence of the cross, the better for us. Because if we do not understand what happened at the cross, we might not appreciate the power that lies therin.

A truth remains: "NO CROSS, NO POWER"

Get out of that comfort zone of living your life as you like and Tell someone about Jesus! Live like Jesus! Even if it would cost you whatever. Don't be shy of Jesus, cause you wouldn't like it if He told you He were shy of you when you call on him in times of need.

This is the essence of our living....Jesus Saves!
This is our message......... Jesus Saves!
This is our hope........Jesus Comes Soon!

Shalom!

ANOTHER SECRET UNLEASHED (Jn. 13)

I discovered once again from two verses in the book of John Chapter 13 how subtle the devil could really be. He did not enter into Judas Iscariot all at one time; he did it subtly, with the character of a coward.

Verse 2- “And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;”

Note that the devil just put it in Judas’ heart. He started it with wishful thinking; thoughts of fantasy. I imagine Judas thinking cunningly how he would sell Jesus out, then at a time Jesus would perform his miracle and escape as usual, and then he would have made profit. These thoughts were going on in the heart of Judas. He did not cast them down; he did not reject them immediately. Rather he enjoyed and embraced them.

Verse 27- “And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, that thou doest, do quickly”

Having seen Judas’ interest in the plot, the devil entered him fully to carry out the plan.
This is an indication of how the devil operates. He starts with tempting thoughts; he suggests various options to us in our minds. It is left for us to choose; either to dwell on such thoughts or to cast them down (2Cor. 10:5). We need to guard our hearts always with all diligence, for out of it comes the issues of life.
So when next you’re thinking of that evil, that thing which you know does not please God (Phil.4:8); whether it feels good or not, know he’s come around and you’ve got to CAST HIM OUT!
The gap between when he brings suggestions and when he finally enters to strike could even be years… So don’t take chances.

Shalom!

WHAT’S THE SUMMARY OF YOUR LIFE?

At a certain time, I studied events and noted at what point various persons shouted 'eureka' as a result of ‘achievements’, then I discovered that many live as if the summary of life is: “Grow up, Graduate from the university, Get a good job, Get married to the love of your life, then maybe attend church service once in a fortnight. It seemed everything was about struggling to make ends meet.

Is this really the purpose for life? Is it the primary purpose for living? I mean, does it all end there? Gush! If so, life would be so boring.
But then I came to remembrance of the truth as stated in the manual the creator of man gave to me. The manual did not state that all these were the primary purpose of man’s existence; it did not state that we were created for just these, rather it stated something cool!
The most neglected amongst the priorities of modern day man was to be the most cherished according to the manual.
I learnt that the whole duty of man is to “fear God and keep his commandments” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33)
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)

Then I resolved that NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS WORTH LOSING HEAVEN FOR.
No matter how we have to toil, we must not let it toil with our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
No matter how we struggle to make ends meet, we must still go back to God and acknowledge him for who he is,,,YAHWEH! JEHOVAH JIRE!

Shalom!

TODAY'S STORY (24/3/2016)

Today's Story
This morning, I was to go for an official assignment at Lekki Phase 1. I prepared with my morale as high as Kilimanjaro (mind you, Lekki is in Nigeria, Africa. So don’t expect me to use Everest). I went out of my house, crossed the first ‘class A’ road, crossed the second as well (of counter traffic) and then stood at the bus top where I waited to board a bus. This was where the whole drama began.

It was as if the Sun suddenly took notice of us and remembered the harm humans have been causing the ozone layer. He (Mr Sun) then used the opportunity to revenge on behalf of his friend Ozone. He began to fire hot arrows of solar radiation at us. We had no option but to shield ourselves with our handkerchiefs. But we were affected since Mr Sun was so big and strong; we had sweat drip off our skin. Thank God we triumphed after all.
As I waited for a bus, I noticed everyone had developed wings except for some few and me. For some time I wondered why and how it all happened. Then I realized that as soon as a bus came, people flew in from my left and right. What? With the twinkle of an eye? This was not rapture? And even if it were, we are to be raptured into heaven not into a bus. It felt like I was in slow motion.
In my confused state, more buses came and before I looked at a suitable seat, someone had flown into the bus. I began to get determined to get into the next bus that came through. Just then, I had my own copy of wings which grew as fast as the others. I smiled, now understanding fully how it worked. The next bus came and before you could think of saying JACK ROBINSON, I was seated comfortably in the bus. Wow! Such efficient wings. I smiled because of my victory as we moved…Just then, my friend Lady Heart whispered to me “Welcome Back to Lagos”.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR SEASON

Hello! I would love y'all to meet a dear friend of mine... She has something to say to everyone who comes by this blog. Please don't take her words for granted. Maybe someday you would get to meet with her personally, but for now...She's on the Onwuka_Ikpa Blog live!!!

Bernice Sinebe

In the world today there are different time zones and seasons for everyone, but the reality is that though everybody has eyes, only very few can see. This is why people may actually be in their season but would not be aware to take advantage of it. Understanding your season is very important if you want to fulfill your God-given destiny. Before I go further, I would like to give the definition of the word “SEASON”. According to the oxford dictionary, the word season is defined as a part or period of a year when something particular happens.

In Nigeria for example, there are different seasons which include: the rainy season, dry season, etc. As a youth you need to understand the season you are in because the youthful age is a season of your life.

The Youthful age is part of a season in one's life, the youthful age is a season of your life that is full of activities, but some youths of this generation have failed to see that being a youth is a time of their life filled with many activities. The season of your being a youth is meant for so many things which include these stated below:
First, as a youth you need to understand that this is your season to study. As a youth your brain has the capacity to accumulate a lot of things, so the youth has a time to study anything worth studying. According to 1Timothy 2:15, Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to study, as he was still a youth and  had the time and capacity to learn as much as he would need in the ministry.

Also, you need to understand that your youthful age is a season to make choices, not just any choice but choices that affect your world. So the youthful age is a season to make choices that will bring about a solution, according to Deuteronomy 30:19, and also now is the time to make the decision to make heaven.

In addition, you need to understand that the youthful age is a time to win souls. As a youth you are in perfect shape to win souls into God’s kingdom, the best time to do this is when you are a youth because your bones are strong and according to Prov. 11:30, winning souls for the kingdom makes you a wise youth. Also you need to understand that the youthful age is a time to shine. According to Isa. 60:1, the best time to shine forth or manifest God's glory is when you are a youth. The youthful age is a time to explore.

In conclusion, being a youth is a privilege and you need to understand that the youthful age is a season to make a change.

God Bless You all...
Sinebe Bernice

THE TRODDEN PATH

Wow! This is the great work of a friend, fellow Engineer and an old time school mate. Allow me to introduce to you Engr. Obinna Akamadu...Live on the Onwuka_Ikpa Blog!

Being a writer, yet an engineer, has attracted a lot questions for Obinna Akamadu.
Obinna wants to negate the notion that "Engineers express themselves poorly both in oral and written English".
Set on the Niger Delta soil of Rivers and the commercial hub of Anambra, Onitsha, The Trodden Path is a fictional prose built on unquivering foundation of lexical structures. Personified statements, simile, pun, metaphorical expressions, phrasal illustrations, aphorisms and many beautifully constructed lines that are found in almost each page of this book hold the reader captivated and make one develop the appetite to read it over and over again. There is no iota of doubt that this book will jolt you out your reverie.
If you are indeed tasty of literature, why not have a bite of The Trodden Path.

The Trodden Path is an exceptional master piece .....I believe you would want to see what an Engineer has to offer the world of literature...Just get a copy and you will testify.
